TOMBOI BARBI by Jude Monet is a Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand acclaimed for her dynamic and versatile practice. Extensive murals, equity centered community design, and a studio art practice began to develop at Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York with an Integrated Design major. Her commitment is deeply rooted in creativity as a catalyst for mutual aid and cultural care.
In addition to her visual art, expression is cultivated with music, dance, performance art, and film. She is an arts educator, producer, and creative director.
In my art, I explore the themes of wholesomeness. I believe in holistic wellness, eclectic storytelling, and the message ‘Nurture Your Nature’ hence Tomboi(athletic) and Barbi(glam). So, naturally, the combination of the two made sense, TOMBOI BARBI. My art explores the connection between light and dark, nature/urban-industrial, and the depths of identity.
My ‘Universal Heart’ logo includes a heart with devil horns/tail, and an angelic halo (balance and inclusivity).
“NURTURE YOUR NATURE” – signifies the innate nature and responsibility to nurture it.
